ConflictedGuy27 Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 so I once answered a thread that, yeah, men & women can be legitimate platonic friends... lol. we'll perhaps, if there is ZERO attraction, maaaaaaaaybe. but 99.9999% of the time, we're trying to hit that. all it took was a "good friend" to playfully start calling me "hunny" then BAM, the friendship was traded for action in practically a blink. ladies, please know this: we're not your friend. don't believe me? test it. flirt with a good straight friend (give him a good suggestive one) & watch him jump through hoops (albeit subtitley) to set your sheets on fire.
Yer_Blues Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 While I'll concede that there are multiple female friends I have that I would love to take it further with, there are still ones that I would never -- even attractive ones/more attractive than I can score elsewhere. And those ones I would be interested in, I am not friends with for that fact. I don't think the friends to lovers things happens all that frequently, and it is certainly not why I associate with them. Accept the fact that men can view females that they are sexually attracted to beyond that attraction. They can be friends/interact with those females for different reasons besides trying to score with them. You know, such as non physical intimacy... I am the self proclaimed horniest man alive. I'd probably **** a CD if it looked female out of the corner of my eye. This doesn't make women sex objects in my world view... EDIT: Re-examining a compact disk on my desk, I'm having second thoughts on that one, but the point is just as valid O_o
Mad Max Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Agreed. If there's no physical attraction, it can work. Otherwise, no.
