Jane2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 I met this guy on New Year's Eve (Friday night). He thought I looked cute dancing and came over to talk to me and my friend for a long time, but he was focusing on me. At the end of about 30 minutes of bantering, my friend and I decided to leave, and I gave him my number. He took it enthusiastically, putting it in his phone right in front of me, then said "take mine" and he called me right away so that I'd have his. I pulled out my phone, showed him that I got his call and confirmed that that was his #. He said yes. Then, on my way home, he texted me and said "Hi___. This is ____. Save me." (he meant his #). I took that to sort of mean that he was pretty into me/the situation because he already knew I had his number, and there was no need to re-confirm it. The next day, Saturday, around 2:30 p.m., I decided to be bold and call him. I did. He didn't pick up. I didn't leave a message. Now it's Monday. Haven't heard from him at all. I would understand that sometimes guys wait to call. But, given that I called him (and of course he got it because of caller I.D.), you would think he'd call back. What do you think?
january2010 Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 I suggest giving him about a week to get in touch again, but don't wait. Focus on other things. And don't call him again or text him. If he doesn't contact you again, it could be that he got caught up in the moment but later change his mind. Something may have come up but if he really wants to contact you, then he will.
Author Jane2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Author Posted January 3, 2011 Yeah, he probably won't call. If I hadn't called him, I could assume he's just waiting a bit, or busy. But my call to him and his lack of return call makes things rather negative in outlook. Darn!!!
