january2010 Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I wouldn't go there. If their relationship is 'on and off', it sounds like there are still unresolved issues between them. Starting a relationship with someone who is still in overlap with a previous relationship is very shaky - there's a higher probability that she will ditch you to go back to him. Her caring and flirtatious behaviour may well be an attempt to line you up as a potential backup in case things don't work out with her ex. Until it's clear that their relationship is no longer an issue, I wouldn't ask her out or buy her flowers.
