LucreziaBorgia Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 It was in the high 60's, low 70's for a couple of days here so I worked in my front garden, repotted a plant, planned my patio for the garden and tidied up broken pots, etc.

Author florence of suburbia Posted January 4, 2011 Author Posted January 4, 2011 I know that, but I'm in the mood for an ad hoc game of balderdash. Oh, it is Spanish codfish --- but there is a Portuguese version... Bacalhau (Portuguese pronunciation: [bɐkɐˈʎaw]) is the Portuguese word for dried and salted codfish. Fresh (unsalted) cod is referred to as bacalhau fresco.

Watching House kept me sane in 2010!
threebyfate Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Cleaning up the house the morning after our New Years party. While a lot of it was done after everyone left, there was still a lot more to do the next day. H. chased around our little rug bug, while I cleaned up. He was more exhausted than I was afterwards! Mobility is hell.
anne1707 Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 You turned off House??!!! That's pure sacrilege! Watching House kept me sane in 2010! My sister in law once accused my H of reminding her of House as if it was an insult. As far as he was concerned, it was a compliment  My accomplishment? Not killing the chairman of our board. Yet.

As far as he was concerned, it was a compliment  My accomplishment? Not killing the chairman of our board. Yet. I had a dream about House last night. Actually, I knew it was really Hugh Laurie but he spoke and acted like House. He was teaching some kind of a creative writing class and I was the teacher's pet. I hope to have that dream more often in 2011.
sally4sara Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Realizing I am my own karma. I decided I wanted to learn to make bags and purses. So for my first attempt what do I do? Choose to make a three compartment yoga bag to hold your mat, clothes, shoes, and water bottle. To be carried like a messenger bag. And all without a purchased pattern to follow. So yeah, any transgressions I enact, I turn around and punish myself for by always biting off more than I can chew. I have a close, personal relationship with my stitch ripper now. This bag is going to be the death of me. Its only the prototype and I hate making it already.
