Thinkalot Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 OK- it's a quiet afternoon...but I would like to know how many of you consider yourself to be a "thinker". You know, the deep serious type, as opposed to the more live-for-the-moment, laid back type. Or maybe you are silly and love to have fun, but you still know deep down you are a 'thinker'. Sure, some of us cross into different categories, and yes, there are many other categories. But I am trying to keep this simple. Obviously, I am serious, a thinker, and pretty deep and analytical. I can also be silly and joke, but deep down, 'thinker" is me. It seems on the surface that lots of people who spend much time on here are 'thinkers' to a degree, and have an interest in human behaviour. Seems that's part of Lshack's appeal. It's a place to 'think' with others about things. Maybe I'm thinking too much right now! LOL
Tony T Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 I do consider myself a thinker. As a matter of fact I think most of the time, no matter what I'm doing. My favorite thing to think about is sex, even when I'm doing something totally unrelated like cleaning a clogged pipe. I hope this answers you question.
moimeme Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 I think I am! LOL. I get a charge from learning stuff. I think I have always thunk a lot. I also enjoy life very, very much, including silliness. I certainly never think about sex but I often find myself thinking about trains and tunnels. Wonder what that means?

moimeme Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 I think I am a PC PC user. I think Thinkalot will think twice about asking this bunch a serious question. But hey, it's St. Pat's Day!
dyermaker Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 Faux, drunk or not, whenever you do get over your shyness and post, you're indeed fascinating.
hurtingandconfused Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 If I'm thinking if I'm a thinker does it make me a thinker?
Tony T Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 I think that I shall never see, A poem so lovely as ME!!!
subtitled Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 i think anyone who opened this topic is probably a thinker... so i'll add myself to the list, apart from the fact i'm always accused of over-analysis.
hmmm Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 there is thinker and then there is wanker, making lists of thinkers falls into the 2nd category, hahahaha
jenny Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 i don't think so, if i get what you mean. i'd like to be; but i think my usual response is glibness. i think about problems a great deal, but not people, if that makes sense. my guy thinks a lot about super powers he would like to have, comic book esoterica, or ways to win at work. i think a lot about grammar and sex. and then jon stewart, who normally concludes my erotic broadcast day. i don't think i understand what you mean, because i have never really met anyone i did not suspect of thinking? well, i knew one guy who was quite (super) 'id' - but he still had his own thought processes and conclusions.
InmannRoshi Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 I was a thinker, before I got involved in the IT industry.
pav186 Posted March 20, 2004 Posted March 20, 2004 I am certainly a thinking type. I find human behavior to be very interesting. A lot of times when I have free time I like to go out and sit on a bench ( I live in the city) and people watch or I get my CD player and go down by the river and just sit, relax, and think. Im not sure why but I enjoy thinking...
Author Thinkalot Posted March 20, 2004 Author Posted March 20, 2004 I enjoyed thinking about all your well thought responses jenny- we all think of course, but some think lots more than others...which is good and bad! Some of my friends, just do, and don't get too stuck in deep analysis and pondering the 'why' of a situation etc. Whereas I sometimes get stuck pondering, and wish I could lighten up a bit!
reasontosigh Posted March 20, 2004 Posted March 20, 2004 ......A lot of times when I have free time I like to go out and sit on a bench ( I live in the city) and people watch.... A lot of my thinking is based on such observations.
