My sister is on Match and was looking for guys in my town for some reason. She came across one that she thought would be perfect for me. So.....she set us up. We go out on Tuesday. He's seen my picture and apparently likes what he saw. I've seen his and I definitely like what I see. We've talked a lot on the phone, and its been effortless.

He has kind eyes. He's a devoted father. He's my age. He's successful. And I like that he's shy. I've only dated/married enormous extroverts who have ended up being all wrong for me.

I've definitely learned from this past train wreck of a relationship what NOT to do.....and I'm excited to apply my knowledge. ;)

Problem is, I was really hoping to lose more weight before getting back in the dating scene. I'm trying to talk myself into being confident with my weight loss so far, and to remember that I have plenty of fellows that I've met recently that have no problem with how I look. ;)

Tuesday also happens to be the first court date with my ex regarding our custody battle. And it really has become a mud slinging battle. So, a drink and hopefully some sparks Tuesday night is something I'll be looking forward to.

Trying not to look TOO forward to it though! :)

Best of luck! Try your hardest not to have too much expectations though (I know it's hard). :) You are allowed to get excited after the date has gone spectacularly well, which I hope it does

Thanks! I'm actually grateful that I'll be so busy tomorrow and Tuesday with court that I won't have time to over think our meeting. And I've prepared myself for the fact that it may not work out. I'm truly A OK with that. Like I said, I physically am not reallly where I want to be to start dating again, so I'll just get back on the tread mill......:)

And I read your post about the candi"dates" you've found on the dating site. Good luck to you. Online dating sure is a different, but fun world, eh!?!?

I've actually missed the excitement of it.....

Good luck! I think if he saw your picture on the dating website, and he liked what he saw, the weight should not be an issue. I'm sure you look great.

Thanks. I truly hope it goes well. It'll help me feel better about the jerk that went MIA nearly two weeks ago. Man, that really hurts a girl's ego!!!
