AbsoluteSucker Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 I'm sure this was covered extensively yesterday, but I was offline all day yesterday. My ex gf called me at 3 am on New Years, didn't leave a message and didn't send a text. It was hard and I thought about it all day, but didn't call her back. I just need some assurance that I'm doing the right thing, chalk it up to probably being drunk and maybe a little nostalgic and nothing more. If it were something more, she would find a way to contact me and not do it on new years. Even though we last communicated 2+ weeks ago; I consider this Day 2 of NC, because in the seven months that we broke up this will be the first time I didn't respond. Obviously, this is easier said then done, but it's the right thing, right?
D78 Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 If you're working on making yourself better and truly getting over her, I think not answering was the right thing. If what she had to say was so important, she probably would have tried again, left a message, emailed, etc.
Fern Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 It's a brilliant thing. Well done you! Best thing you could possibly have done for yourself. Stay strong - it'll be worth it!
