How do you know if it's a date?

Stupid question but I will be going to a hockey game with a coworker. Seems like she was interested in Hockey and so was I. We share a lot of similarities and she's a wonderful person. I really do like her and hopefully I can get to know her better. As for going to a hockey game together, picking her up and going to happy hour before the game. Would that be considered a date?

My friends all think it's a date because we scheduled another outing a week later to go snowboarding.

I have had girls where we planned an outing but she never followed up with me or just cancelled the event.

This person was very keen and wanted to go to the game with me, which I found surprising. Normally, you just don't meet girls who have an interest in Hockey.

Anyway, I'm getting mixed feelings and I am not sure what to do considering this will be my first date ever! (that's if you consider it a date).

I have gotten advice to just go with the flow and see what happens. I've also gotten advice from people to be aggressive; pick her up and buy her dinner.

What do you guys think?

But when you do, you better be sure to hold onto them...

You should always feel like you're going with the flow, but I like the idea of taking her out to dinner before the game.

Now here's a question for you...how would things change if you didn't label it a "date"? Just go and have fun with her! It really doesn't matter what you call it. And if you want to kiss her at the end of the night, then do it!

Seems like a date to me.

Beware though, as it may or may not be a date to a woman.

if you two are being flirty with each other, you make a move and she's open to it- by all means call it a "date."

if you feel like there's some barrier between the you two from getting up close and personal, then you guys are just having a friendly hang out whilst enjoying the hockey.

Well I guess I'm just thinking too much into it. You're right, just go out and have fun! :D
