It's supposed to be the joyous time of the year, but the loneliest person in the world feels even lonelier.

I remember last year around the same time, I Googled every "other woman" forums I can find. Once again, I'm doing it this year.

My MM have been calling me every single day for the last 2 weeks, but it is still a bit less than usual. I can live with him being busy at work, but when he is not calling/seeing me as often during the holidays, that only means one thing to me---he has to spend more time with his wife...that's the hardest thing to think about during this time of year.

I figured I need better planning next year. I need to be out of the country or do some volunteering during the holidays to make good use of my time.

I just wish the new year will come and I can just get back on my routine (without being in misery).

Best wishes to all,

Chasing-Pavement

Welcome to LS.

As I have said to another poster/another thread, being OW/OM in an affair is settling for crumbs. It means that you can't have what a normal relationship offers, it is especially hard (I would say humiliating too) during the holidays when you need to share the joy, fun and gifts with the SO. If you are OK with sharing someone and being alone during holidays it is up to you.

We all choose the kind of life that we want.

I would suggest that you invest more time with friends, no matter how relationships are happy or not, friends are always there.

Have a good N-Y Eve ! :)
