Ms_Sweetness Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 So my guy friend and I finally made it official a few weeks ago. We are now a couple. I planned a trip (New Years) with a few pals before I met him. I asked him if he wanted to go and he told me that he would probably be spending time with his family. I completely understood, but a few days ago he surprised me and bought a plane ticket to meet me there for a few days and spend the New year with me! I admit that it made me cry that he was so thoughtful. The place that we are going to is very cold and snowy, he is accustomed to this weather and I am NOT. He bought me snow boots and other clothing for the cold weather. Now I'm sitting here crying because I'm scared! I just think this is too good to be true. He seems to be everything I want in a mate but I'm soooo afraid that things will turn sour. I don't want to feel this way but I'm finding it difficult not to. I definitely do not let it show when I'm with him because I don't want to run him off but I just want to be able to go with the flow and enjoy him. I'm just so scared, I want this to be right. What's wrong with me?
Truly Lost Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 You should just go with it. Enjoy his company. Dating always comes with a risk of rejection. Acting scared will cause you to indirectly show your insecurities....he will pick up on it....trust me. Have a good time. If you have reservations...perhaps you should talk to him about it.
Eddie Edirol Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Dont worry, if its too good to be true, the red flags wont get by you since youre extra aware. Be prepared for it to go sour, but be prepared fro it to NOT go sour.
Jynxx Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Nothing is wrong with you. You're just a bit stressed out about being put in unfamiliar territory, it's perfectly natural and you'll get over it.
