At first I listened to a lot of slower songs that had "Goodbye" in the title and songs that reminded me of the relationships.

 

Now I try to listen to more upbeat/it's your loss/I'm moving on with my life/isn't life great songs.

yes, i did that after my D..a few yrs ago...i LOVED LOVED that song

by PINK, "So What"....that was PERFECT for after a divorce..LOL

 

now i am in the ol` melancholy mood missing my xbf...that i broke up with...so go figure..geesh... lol

Was it the ol' ELO?..not really got over the relationship with it, only helped to reinforce the mental torment I was going thru unfortunately!

Talking Heads have been my one and only music for the last two weeks. Powerful, energetic, insightful, awesome. I could not listen to slow or sentimental songs right now, it would only make me wallow in the pain.

love the lyrics and the music.

 

the second one is good, upbeat and great lyrics for us going thru break ups...hey, he kinda looks like a YOuNG Meatloaf...seriously..does anyone remember him? or am i the oldest one here..LOL

Meatloaf has definatly been on my 'Feel good' playlist that i made up the following week of the breakup. I've got mostly upbeat tracks. Nothing to tug the heart strings :). These two seem to get a bit of play.

Hi Dela...yes, long time. Doing better these days...NC has been a blessing.

 

Yes, the music thread was closed due to too much copyrighted materials..eeps. Guess the links to Youtube are okay, just not putting out the song lyrics...oopsie. :o:o Still pouting because music is a healing factor for me.

 

Love Toby Lightman - my favorite song of hers is My Sweet Song...from the movie P.S. I Love You....love that movie too. So sweet but sad...cry like a baby every time I watch it.

 

 

That was the first song I heard from her years ago...but have become a fan...great vocals and great songs.

Lately for me has been country music because a lot of those songs really capture where my mood/ heart/mind is. But they also remind me that others (especially here) have worse case scenario's than my measily 2 month romance.

Right now I cannot listen to any music, it just all irritates me, I think I must think music is meant to make you happy and I'm not after losing my Toby. x
