This is the perfect day to determine if you are REALLY in a RELATIONSHIP or just dating. If you have to think "will I see her/him today?", "do I call her now or later?", "will I see her b4 or after she visits with "her" family?" ... then you are lieing to yourself and are not in a relationship.

This is not a rant, just an obvservation, i've had over the years, and my benchmark of what I want in a relationship.. You know you are going to see each other vs will you see each other basically. It's not that your worlds revolve around each other, but if, for example, your friends invite you over to their house for lunch today, the correct thing to do , if you were in a "relationship", not just dating, would be "let me make sure my gf (or bf for the girls) hasn't made plans yet vs. "ok", then bf or gf calls and you are told "sorry made plans already (that's "dating").

Although I am not in a relationship today, I am "technically" seeing someone, but all the above relationship tests would fail (on both her side and mines, I'm guilty too, lol), and an ex gf I ran into at a funeral earlier this week and made out with her? Well, I don't know, she did call this am and last night, but I didn't feel it that she wanted to see me today, lol...

Merry X-mas...

Makes sense to me.

Even if I was in the first stages of dating someone, if I didn't get at least a "Merry Christmas" text, I would be moving on.
