She looks like me, acts like me, talks like me, he said I thought i was looking at you. WHY WHY WHY would he do that then? He had the real deal here. I feel so sad and rejected.

You don't need these drip-feeds of information about what your ex is doing and who he is with. They only cause you more pain. Focus on moving on with your life. Ask your mutual friends to do the same and respect your need to heal.
Lemontang Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Man this happened to me, an ex of mines rebound boyfriend looked like me etc... to the extent our mutual friends actually nicknamed him a mix of his name & my name. I actually thought it was funny in that in trying to replace me she simply found a clone. Needless to say he saw through her pretty quickly and they broke up.
Margot Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Hi there... I can understand you. My situation is kind of different. He replaced me for a co-worker of his who we knew for a couple of years. She always tried to have conversations with me about the things I liked and why I liked them, the movies, books and music that I like. Well everyone always said that she doesn't only envy me because of my boyfriend because she though I was cool. But my boyfriend cheated on me with her...we broke up and even when he doesn't confess me anything I know that they are together. I made the mistake of search her facebook, and now she watches and quotes the movies that I liked, now she is reading lots of books when she told me she hated reading and admires me for reading a lot of books and of being a librarian. And now she even started posting videos of the music I listen. I don't know what to think. He left for a girl with no personality who is trying to be like me because she knows that I was important to my ex (we where together for 6 years). I don't even know what to think of my ex. The only thing that I feel is that I'm sad and angry because he left me...but at the same time I feel good because she's only trying to be like me...But hey no matter what she is with him He keeps contacting me because he "can't live without me" but hey he is still with her and I'm not going to be fooled.

That is absolutely normal. And it is far from reason to be sad and rejected. It actually validates you. Say there were just two martians on this planet, and you were one of them, and after years and years of teasing and ridicule and feeling ill-at-ease socially on earth, you finally wooed a boyfriend, who took long, serious looks at YOUR beauty, and evolved to admire your martian traits even though you perceived them to be inferior to those of 'earthlings'. Well, when that boyfriend finally broke up with you... if out of 6 billion people on earth he found the lone other martian and began to date her, that shows that he was authentically effective at inspiring himself to like martian qualities.
