Honestly, your friends are probably jealous they can't come up with as good of a gift for their SO's.

This is a FABULOUS gift that your girlfriend will absolutely love. Now that I'm a little older, I can truly say that I love giving gifts more than receiving. Her face will be worth it. I'd be touched and love it!

Screw the lot of your friends and your sister. Despite the fact that you two have only been dating a short while, it is a very thoughtful, considerate, and endearing gift. You are replacing something she cared very much for that was stolen from her. $150 is not that much to spend on the person you're dating for Christmas when taking into account the fact that you have known her for 10 years.

She may at first think it is too much for her, but might only express that out of courtesy. She will be beaming on the inside.

Edit: If she is the emotional type, you may want to prepare yourself for tears of happiness

OMFG WTF

You finally got with your friends ex girlfriend that you have been pining for for years and years?:eek::eek::eek:

I think it's a very thoughtful gift because now she has a choice of what to bang.

This... Thank you for making me laugh...

And thank all you guys for all the encouragement.

I had to stash it at my friend's house down the street. Considering she lives here with me it's kind of hard to hide a big ass drum... And it's got a really distinct shape too. D'Jembes are shaped like a top-heavy hourglass. There aren't a lot of hiding places in this house that will do...

Yea... things started happening around Halloween between her and I.

I haven't been this happy in years.

This is so awesome, and so spot on! You remind me so much of Jeremy Piven's character in Serendipity...

Sorry, I don't watch chick flicks.

But **** them. It's beautiful. She's getting that ****ing dress.

There's a really cool pair of Jimmy Choos I want for Xmas. So f* me, am I getting those f*'ing shoes?

Alright... I typed out this post once already... not sure what happened to it.

My friend, we'll just call him M, was with his girlfriend, we'll call her R, at the bar where my girlfriend (We'll call her V) works. Heh... it still feels weird saying that, my girlfriend...

Anyway. M and R were at the bar... V was working. And R doesn't handle her liquor that well, and she has a really big mouth when she's drunk...

Anyway, she told V what I got her for Christmas. M just called here and told me.

So, thanks to one big mouthed aquaintance... now she knows everything. I just love my friends, lol...

Well, that's annoying.

What is she, twelve? I'm a little bit confused as to why seemingly all the people you know are so emotionally invested in your present.

But, my vote: it's a good gift. It shows you listen, and care. We women eat that up with a spoon.

I know your road to this relationship has been long and convoluted and rocky. I wish you luck with this lady.

I wouldn't say that are emotionaly invested... A few of my friends were here when it was delivered and they made comments... I hid it at M and R's house... And my sister, who knows.

A lot of the people were are talking about are in long term relationships. I think they are all just getting some weird kick out of seeing me in the honeymoon faze of a new relationship... These are people who have known me for years and have never seen me like this.
