I'd say my exW's best friend's approach was best: compliment me on my appearance, fondle my head and looking longingly into my eyes. Holding hands is a plus, as was squeezing my butt cheeks. This is a test of the emergency broadcasting system. If this were a real emergency.... True story, BTW.

Hot one day, cold the next...you know that ..get him feeling mixed up and banging his head thing....the ol' what the? flirt. Intentional flirting with someone else knowing that you're doing it just to regain his attention.....the ol' indirect sideways flirt.
