In a recent conversation with some male friends, I was surprised to hear how different some of their preferences/preconceptions were about lingerie. Some of them said they love it, and had definitively favorite styles. A few said they hate it - those who said they don't like it seemed to fall into two separate camps: the ones who feel it just gets in the way, and those who think it's trampy or slutty in any scenario. Some of them thought the "timing" is of the upmost importance.

 

So I thought I'd open the question up here to get some additional perspective. Obviously it's a matter of personal preference, but my curiosity was piqued. What types of lingerie (if any) do you men like to see on a girl? Is it ever too soon for her to deck herself out for you?

 

As a girl who personally loves lingerie, I'm interested to see what you Loveshackers have to say on the subject :)

I like small, boy shorts. Thongs and g strings are cool, but the tiny shorts are the only thing I can say actually turns me on, the rest I just look at as obstacle, albeit a very minor one.

Lingerie has an interesting place.

 

It's really sexy when it's on models. And men obviously like to look at them.

 

But when it comes to real women, it's just covering up the good stuff. Odds are if a guy is going to see your undergarments, they are going to come off very soon after. He's not going to think, "oh what a pretty bra."

 

I do think that once men start hitting 40ish, lingerie can have appreciated. Until then, it's just something in the way.

I like it. But less is more. I don't care for the stocking straps too much. I prefer light colors and lacey things rather than black and red, not into SNM/bondage. White lace panties, maybe some shiney silk with a tint of irredescent blue/green. A silken kabuki coat in the same shiney material is hot--not black, not adorned with pictures, all one gleaming white or light shimery color. It's great for making it in a room with black light. The wear lights up and makes the skin look deeply tanned in contrast--even if it's not. No black halter type thingy--just light or white lace or silk.

I'm a girl and I love thongs. I also matching bras and underwear ( especially the pushup ones from victoria secret). I don't think most guys care what type of undergarments a girl wears, as long as she's completely naked at the end. Besides certain lingeries are expensive, and I doubt most men actually appreciate clothes more than a womens' body.

I'm a fan of the journey to nakedness and don't really care for ripping everything off all at once (though that certainly has its appropriate times)...so having nice underwear or lingerie is always a plus...taking off a piece at a time...admiring the girl and all her sexiness...lingering there for a while...I like to take my time...

Women should wear normal underwear, the type they wore 50-60 years ago. Thongs and other tight sexy underwear are degrading for the woman and just dirty, I feel sorry for all the women who wears thongs.

Oh man!! You are getting funnier and funnier as the days roll on. I'm now convinced you're not serious and just here to stir up stuff.

 

I, for one, wear thongs nearly every single day. If I'm not wearing a thong, I'm wearing a lacy or silky cheeky.

 

I go back and forth between liking lingerie and not caring. I have an entire drawer full of super pretty bras and panties and other little lacy and silky things that I typically wouldn't wear under clothes (unless it's a trench coat, if you get my drift).

 

The prettiest and sexiest lingerie just isn't functional for underneath fitted clothing. I've also noticed that guys seem to think of undergarments as an obstacle, they really don't care what's between your clothes and your skin. They want the skin. ;)

Personally, wearing pretty underwear and bras makes me feel better about myself. I like wearing matching undergarments that are cute, I makes me feel like I have a secret that only the people I want to know about it will. Also, a good bra will make you look better in clothes, and therefor, you will obviously feel better. I don't think wearing a plain, ugly, over the belly-button supportive underwear will make anyone feel pretty.

I love lingerie, especially corsets, garters, stockings, etc. I like it when they leave some of it on while im doing the deed like the stockings/garters. I guess im weird lol

Jokes aside, I have no preferences. To me, variety and surprise is the key. It's the whole "You never know what you gonna get" that makes it exciting. I mean, in your mind, you will already be running wild!

Oh boy! Lingerie is my type of discussion. I have more panties then any girl ever should. Not a big thong person but I own a few just to avoid panty lines. Boy shorts and bikini's are pretty cute. I have a pretty good corset collection going on as well. Not just for sex purposes I generally like wearing corsets (not in public of course). Normally pair a corset up with a little skirt and some heals if I'm wanting to get some attention from my partner.

My SO loves the plastic or rubber slutty stuff. I think he just loves the snap sound it makes. I will occasionally wear something for him with big heels.

 

I of corse love the frilly stuff and wear whatever I want most of the time. I like anything in silver and am fanatic about bras and panties being in sets.

I am all about vintage slips and nightgowns...recently I've tried looking around for some but they're expensive. I would love to own a few someday.

 

As far as bras and panties, I do like lace, and prefer neutral or light colors to bright, crazy ones--though I make an exception for red because it's my favorite color. On a daily basis I wear a matching black or flesh-colored cotton bra and boy shorts/bikini.
