habs53 Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 I have been wondering if i should be buying a Christmas gift for my ex from my son. She is obviously going to know i bought it. We actually have been civil to each other the last week or so. Not sure what to do here. I just thought it was proper for my 11 year old boy to give his mom a present.

IfiKnewThen Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 you only live once. we are all so afraid of each other. be yoursel;f. give her a gift yourself. say...merry christmas!! i hate how you are all walking on egg shells. i mean it makes sense and all. someone has to be the one to TRY to be nice and break down the walls. i send my ex a christmas present. i enjoyed shopping for it. yeah he hasnt responded. but i am still glad for being who i am. i really gave it from my heart. no motive. it would be nice to have peace. but i had to be me (for a change)
strangeways Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I always get a gift for my sons to give their mum and she always gets a gift for them to give me. Usually something small like a box of chocolates or some perfume. The kids very much appreciate it. Seems like the proper thing to do to me. We do have a good realtionship though so I'm not sure what I'd do if we didn't. Probably the same.
