Mrlonelyone Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 This is a good video in which a real expert talks about the five phases of a relationship. http://www.videojug.com/interview/the-life-cycle-of-a-relationship He breaks it down into: Attraction Honeymoon Reality (in my own writing here this is where the second kind of love can begin or a relationship can end.) Commitment Marriage He does a pretty good job of it. You'll see why a second chance is most likely if a relationship goes beyond "reality" and was somewhat committed then a second chance is possible. They also have other video's that people here may want to see. Check it out.
andrew23 Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 How long does the honeymoon phase typically last?
Author Mrlonelyone Posted December 21, 2010 Author Posted December 21, 2010 It can last anywhere from weeks to month's to years. Though for most people in serious relationships it's less than three month's.
Nkognito Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 My past girlfriend and I almost hit 3 months but "supposedly" her mom got ill and she was having to deal with that and such so I think we were in the reality phase but I have no idea.
NG85 Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 This was a really interesting video, thanks for posting it. I learned a lot about my last relationship and why some of the problems were caused (It appears that I had reached the Reality phase very early on while my ex was in the Honeymoon phase for a REALLY long time). In the end we hit the Commitment phase, but having reached it at different times did cause some issues. This site also has some really good videos about dealing with break-ups. Check out the "Broken Hearts" soap opera - REALLY funny stuff!

aerogurl87 Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 That was interesting, but what happens when a relationship gets stuck in the "commitment phase" on some weird, emotional level even after a break up occurs?
