carnac Posted December 17, 2010 Share Posted December 17, 2010 I dated my ex twice. We dated briefly 8 years ago and then again for 3 months earlier this year. I was an intense thing. All day in bed etc etc We had plans to move to France whick needless to say all fell through. She has two kids to two fathers ( red flag I know ) The boy is 11 and a sweet daughter of 3. At times I heavily bonded with them both ie babysitting and diaper changing etc. We hadn't really spoken since May. Primarily because I've been avoiding our usual haunts. But I saw her in a cafe last week. She was with her daughter and a friend.I said hello but tucked myself away, anyway she eventually came over with the daughter and she climbs up and hugs me big style ( which bearing in mind I haven't seen her in 7 months was a bit of a worry ) My instant thought was that this angel needed male attention. i didn't particularly speak to my ex. I sat there teaching her French ( I'm almost fluent ) The whole thing was bizarre... Big question is this.....would a parent normally allow their kid to bond with an ex like that or am I mis reading things. I took it that I'm still wanted and maybe my ex is looking for me in her life. Feedback please, just don't get it....! Link to post Share on other sites

Personally if I had kids and let one of them hug one of my ex's..I would not like it....it would confuse the kids.......so I think she may be playing games with you...I'd watch out Link to post Share on other sites

But bearing in mind I'd only been with her less than 10 times she reaaly seemed to bond. Plus earlier this year I got texts from my ex saying that her son asks for me etc etc. It's a bit of red flag all round. Plus, believe it or not, my ex is dating someone. Doesn't say much for him if she turns to me for attention. i'd put money on my ex having regrets and trying to press my button and see if I'm interested. Bit awkward as I do have feelings for her.
