Lauriebell82 Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 I bought my husband a dvd set of Doug (it is a US cartoon) and a book on the Civil War. I hope he likes them! He gave me a hint on what he is getting me, it's jewelry. I dropped a hint for him to get me this blue topaz ring, he deliberately showed me a picture of this very ugly sterling silver ring that has blue gemstones on it. I looked at our credit card statement and it says that he spend $190 so it was definately not the sterling silver ring unless he bought like 7 of them! Anyway, what are you getting your SO and what do you hope to get in return?
Linda9999 Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 He's getting the ONLY thing he would tell me he wanted - a Zach Brown Band gift set which has a CD, T-shirt, poster, cookbook and some kind of spice rub. As for what I'm getting - I never really told him anything so whatever it is will be a total surprise. I'm pretty easy to please though
Feelin Frisky Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 No SO right now. Bought mom an Sharp Aquos LCD TV with built in DVD player though. I guess she's an SO. Yep. She's S to me.
D-Lish Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 I got my SO tickets to an NHL game. It's his fav team. I know he's going to be super happy about the gift. I have no clue what he's going to get me, I am assuming a watch?
Pyro Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 I'm getting her %$^&*%$#@$#%^&* She'll love it.

If he doesn't like the book I'll take it. Where did you find the Doug DVD set? There use to be a website that sold DVD sets of all the old Nikelodeon shows.
threebyfate Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 For being the best husband ever, H. is getting seasons tickets to his fave pro team. From Bump, for being the best father ever, he's getting a new power tool. The man is obsessed with them so now his nickname is Tim!

I only bought him the 1st season. I never buy off sites that sell ones that are taped off tv or whatever, I got ripped off from a site like that, so I only buy from amazon now.
Negative Nancy Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 (edited) my SO is a huge porsche fan, so i got him something of his favorite porsche car, a collector's item that's a rarity.... then he aspires to become a mechanic, so i got him his favorite porsche car as a model car that he needs to build together...as a hint to his becoming a mechanic...i plan to add "here's some practice for you already" and the last one, a BMW M3 key chain since he lost his key chain anyway... (did I mention he's a car nerd and a race car enthusiast? ) I hope he's not gonna read on here, though... I don't know what I'm hoping to get in return...I'm hard to please, as I do not have a specific hobby that he could get me a present for...so I'm assuming he's having a hard time finding something for me.....he looked at rings in my presence when we were out shopping, probably hoping I would drop a hint as to what I like...but I didn't...so I'll guess I'm gonna be surprised when x-mas comes... JohnM Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Bought her tickets to her fav band's gig which will be whilst I'm away. A custom made t-shirt from America of Totoro from Studio Ghibli's titled film . A little elmo beanie which relates back to a childhood lost toy and some bat themed self bake cakes because she loves that kind of thing.
Mutant Debutante Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 I knitted him a hat and scarf, and made him some fudge, and also bought some herbs and mixed him a batch of my own recipe of healing tea for colds etc. because he swears by how well it works. Well okay it's not my OWN recipe I got it from a friend who studied herbalism and it's really good.
