hopefulguy Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 A close friend that i've known for 5 or 6 years came to visit. We were friends for 6 years. I met her through a friend and she lives far away. My family and I knows her very well because we always communicated online almost everyday back then. We had a few years of no contact....then she visits earlier this year. She comes back a few weeks ago and BAM! me and her hit it off. I guess we always knew we had a thing for eachother. Each day we hung out as a group, we would find ourselves acting as a couple. Holding hands, culdding, laughing at every joke. I've dated other girls after my last serious gf, but this girl is amazing. Thing is....its another complicated situation. She lives across the country, and she is dating someone. She never mentioned her dating that guy the whole time she was here....but as we started talking more serious, she brought it up, told me it was a dead end kinda thing. I've had a good amount of dating experience, but i've never dated someone whos dating someone else at the same time. She seems really into me. She already told all her friends about me, posted some corny things on fb about us, which i like. Always responds to my texts and calls instantly. But i'm always the one initiating contact, she has a few times. I dont wanna come on too strong or anything, so is she playing hard to get? Or is she just not that into me like i think i am, especially since shes dating another guy. Thanks for your input!
samspade Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 She is tired of her BF and branch-swinging. You probably could have nailed her if you were so inclined. Sounds like she's looking for some fun. So if I were you I wouldn't get too attached too early. If you see her again, push the envelope physically and see where it goes. But be careful - she always has the boyfriend card, and can play it at anytime. If she uses that, just say, "it must be great to have such a perfect relationship."
refurb Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Women who branch swing are a huge turn-off. She's the type who doesn't really care about the feelings of someone she is dating. Samspade nailed it. RF
Author hopefulguy Posted December 16, 2010 Author Posted December 16, 2010 well we did get physical. just didnt go all the way. i stayed with her at her hotel every night.but yea i was worried about her being a branch swinger. She travels alot...so who knows how many dudes shes doing this too. The reason we started liking eachother cause i made a move on her physically. She then noticed that i had interest in her for more than just that. and she started to treat me the same way. im gonna keep my distance.
Author hopefulguy Posted December 16, 2010 Author Posted December 16, 2010 oh and she just left about 2 weeks ago. and already told me shes planning on coming back end of january
sigurpol Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 I'm curious to see where this goes. I personally have not been romantically successful in these situations other than sleeping with the girl. It's a very thin line. Halfway across the country is kinda.. a big deal. If you're able to control your feelings then I would say: enjoy it for what it is now, focus on your life, but obviously keep in touch. Don't put your life on hold. However, be prepared for things to not work out to to become difficult. Good luck!
