I want the opinion of girls who have been cheated on:

I have a guy friend who continually cheats on his girlfriend. They have broken up numerous times because of his cheating. One time while they were broken up, they were both at the same bar and he made out with/picked up some girl right in front of her (presumably to piss her off).

I just don't understand why she keeps going back to him. Has anyone ever been in a situation like this?

One of my good friends was in a relationship like that. The guy was constantly cheating on her, me and other people even told her and she never believed it. 'I trust him.' Finally, guilt ridden, he told her that he had been cheating on her and that he was sorry but he wanted to break up. She practically begged for another chance and they got back together.

This really annoyed me because she didn't deserve to be treated like that and she shouldnt have had to put up with that. I told her this and asked her why she stayed with him. Her response? 'At the end of the day, I love him and being with him is better than being without him.'

Each to their own. They're not together anymore thank goodness.

Chances are she has extremely low self esteem and very little self respect. If she did she wouldn't keep going back. She may feel she deserves what she gets etc or can not get any better. Once she knows she doesn't deserve that kind of treatment, she will probably move on.

Sometimes girls like that grow up in very dysfunctional households. There is either a cheating father, or she was not treated well herself and grows up expecting bad treatment. It's very sad.
