So the guy messaged me first on plenty of fish. We continued messaging a couple more times when he suggested that we meet up. He seemed nice enough so I gave him my number and we arranged a skating date for Saturday. In my opinion the date went really well. He seemed a bit nervous, and actually talked my ear off at times. We had a lot in common and he talked about his family quite a bit. We skated for about 1.5 hours and then he said he should probably get back to studying.....ok... The goodbye part was the only weird part. It kinda seemed awkward. I just kinda let him do the talking because I knew that I'd like another date but wanted to see what he thought. He said we should get together after the holidays! ...which I'm thinking WOW that's really far away. So I said ya that sounds good. So he said he'd call me after the holidays. I went back on the site the next day to see if he had been on and he had, three minuates before I had. Then when I went back on again later to check my messages, his profile was gone. He deleted it. I felt like it was a really good date...but that made me really unsure. Also I am a bit unsure because ya we both have exams right now but January kinda feels like a long time for the second date. I was expecting him to say we should hang out after exams. Should I message him in a couple of days asking how his exams went, or should I wait for him to call me...? Thanks for your replies!

There are a number of different possible reasons why he deleted his profile: 1. He's a stalker/clingy and decided he's going to marry you, so why keep the profile? 2. He's tired of the online dating thing, he meets you so he says "If this one doesn't work out, I'm taking a break." 3. He accidentally deleted the profile because the website confused him. 4. He's re-creating a new profile and it was just easier to delete the old one. 5. He going on a trip to Africa to build elementary schools for 5 years. Since you can't figure it out, don't worry about it! It sounds like the date went well. Sit back and be glad you had a good time. As for messaging him about how exams went, I think it's a great idea. I would keep the messaging back and forth to a minimum until you see him next time though. Ask him how exams went, if he replies wish him happy holidays and tell him you'll talk in the new year. See? Not so hard! RF
