i am seventeen for starters, i was on a birth control pill from april until september. it totally changed me and i hated it, so i went off the pill. three weeks later i felt better so i decided to try a new pill, which had twice the estrogen in it.. after a week and a half i went back off of this new pill because i hated the way it made me also. ever since then (around late september) i have felt the same and i hate it. i am not fully attracted to my boyfriend anymore, i have no sex drive, i have mood swings, i'm easily angered, i cry for no reason, i don't want to be touched, and i've never been like this in my life so i don't know what's going on.. i saw 'hormonal imbalance' and am wondering if that is what this could be from. if anyone has/had hormonal imbalance PLEASE comment and tell me what you experienced, and how you treat/treated it. and if you know anything period please reply, i'm desperate and love my boyfriend and this is putting a huge strain on our relationship! :(

i understand how u feel exactly. Simple go off the pills when you have the last week of the pack left. You can't do this to yourself. Talk to your guy about what you want to do. Let your body get back to normal. It will take probably about two days to feel better. The thing is its the hormones. Plus i have heard that there is a difference between generic and the original pill that you take. I have done a lot of research on it. I myself am not experimenting with different pills. So could be you are getting a generic brand too, i have read people have had negative symptoms when switching to them to save money. Your doc will say there is no difference but there is why do you think they call it generic. hope this helps

I have a daughter only slightly younger than you :)

It *could* be hormonal imbalance, but it could also be a lot of other things. You should do some reading about how what you put into and expose to your body impacts your hormones. Besides birth control pills. It's really eye opening. My daughter has totally changed her eating habits and her cosmetics and everything based on what she found out. She will also NEVER take the pill, she claims. Also educate yourself on synthetic vs natural hormones, especially progestin vs progesterone.

My advice would be to get checked by a doc, and at the same time try to detox your body and wean it off any chemicals you're putting into it. Also yoga can help - my daughter swears yoga pretty much takes her PMS totally away.
