Just wondering if any of you had to deal with rejecting a good/best friend because they had developped feelings while you were already with someone?

 

How did you handle it? Were you affected by it?

 

My mom told my dad recently that someone from work had developped a crush on her and that she had to politely turn him down. And then she seemed really affected for several days. She tells me she didn't have feelings for him but I can't explain why she would look so down if that weren't the case.

 

Did any of you ever have to deal with this?
