I wont lie. Im a gal, planning on moving to NYC from Boston this spring, Brooklyn in particular... and being a 25 year old single social worker, this post is scarring the shiz outta me!

Don't fret. NY and Brooklyn have never been safer and cleaner than now. I'm from Brooklyn (although now in Virginia since January). I've been to Boston three times and was so impressed by how clean Boston was. No grafitti on the overpasses along the Charles. I'm used to seeing that. But NY is cleaner now than it was when I was growing up there. Good luck.

NYC is what it is. Though, I think Brooklyn is a good place to be. I have lived in several parts of Brooklyn and found the women I have dated in Brooklyn/Queens to be much more down to earth and fun than those living in Manhattan.

Oh, I completely love New York. Ive been there a jillion times, and have wanted to live there since I was a little girl. My brother lives there and a handful of good friends... Now Im finally in a place to make it happen, I have no boyfriend, no children, theres nothing keeping me here, and although Im a Boston girl by heart. There's no doubt that Im moving. Its a dream I must fulfill, at least for a few years. I feel its time for a cool change. ;)

But all the horror stories of the dating scene in NY is completely terrorfying! Seems like this city might eat me alive!

Don't worry. NYC didn't start bringing me down until recently after 9 years of living here. You'll have fun! Plenty of boys to snog, though perhaps not marry. ;)

Snogging huh?? Haha. Sounds kinda fun..... kinda scary

Ive been single for about a year and a half. Im moreso the realtionship type. I do appreciate the sentiment though :)

But then again, if theres any place that'll turn a snogger into me, its probably New York City.
