I have actually wondered the same thing, I feel like a simple "Thank you." could be ok, but the reality is it could bring up feelings. I believe in NC but I also think there should be maturity involved, if you really believe its not a ploy to talk again or anything weird then maybe its ok. But I know most will say if you go NC then you go NC thats it.
