youngskywalker Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Who ever said you can't spark up an old flame? I just texted this girl I dated a few times about six months ago. We talked. Now she texted me back a week later asking how I was doing. Now we are apparently talking again. I don't think it's going to surmount to anything because we live in different towns now but it goes to show you that friendships can be sparked from 'old flames'. I think it's worth calling up those STR's months down the road if things just faded for no apparent reason. Anyone else agree?
alex1960 Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 I agree that old flames that ended relatively well or old flames that were not that emotionally charged can turn into great friendships. I'm not sure the other way around though...
alexlakeman Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Must be the holiday season lol. I just went trolling for old fames this wknd: 1. Talking to one that we dated a few mths in 1Q10 And 2. One date only from online; we'll see if she responds.

I'm not sure the other way around though... I talked to her again today and it went great but nothing that I'm going to pursue romantically. If you let the feelings die first, then contact, old flames can make awesome friendships. I've done this a few times but, like you suggested I never had one turn into anything romantic.
