I thought about that but I told her I was no longer with the other girl and she's still looking for stupid reasons out. How about "thanks but I can't make it?" People are soooo ridiculous at times.

Why would she think that anything other than friendship was possible? Anyway, it looks pretty clear that she was only interested in friendship. Don't spend your valuable time and energy ruminating on how ridiculous she is; move on.

She thought the OP had a girlfriend but still initiated a second activity? Maybe I'm a bit older but friends typically aren't that intense. If I met any woman at work and asked her twice within a few days to hang out, I think I would make my intentions very clear. And if she accepts, I think that would also be a very clear indicator that something's going on. When people are adults, an intense positive friendship normally results in a relationship. Sounds like the OP's friend called him repeatedly simply because she's bored and I think that's terribly stupid. I would never hang out with the same women repeatedly unless there's something going on. Sorry OP!
