Bride turns cancelled wedding into something wonderful..

 

Bride and Groom call it quits :

 

And decide to call the Salvation Army and invite the homeless people at the shelter to the wedding banquet hall when it was determined it was too late to cancel the banquet function . ( likely a few hours notice )

 

Captain John Bennett organized 150 people from Salvation Army shelters to on Buses to attend a pre-holiday banquet at the hotel where the wedding had been planned.

 

"When it was apparent that we weren't going to be able to do anything else she said dad, I want to feed the less fortunate."

 

In an interview with local news station, the bride's father, Mac Shafer, said, "What this is all about is a warm meal on a really cold night."
