1.Cor 10 13:

"No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it".

Here are a few more of my favorites.

"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart."

--Helen Keller

"Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don't know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of withering, of tarnishing."

Wow!!

That's definitely going up on my fridge.

I loved this part in particular:

It doesn't interest me who you know

or how you came to be here.

I want to know if you will stand

in the center of the fire

with me

and not shrink back.

WOW - what a beautiful poem! - Excellent pick BB :)

1 Corinthians ch 13 v 4-7. I have it tattooed on my arm also.

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

It's not deep, meaningful, or relevant--and it's LIGHT YEARS from being true..

but for a while 2Sure was using:

"Stupud advice from stupud 2Sure."

She was completely trouncing a particularly annoying ,misogynistic troll here awhile back, and after a while, that was the best comeback he could come up with--a one-line jab at her.

So she made it her signature............:lmao::laugh::lmao::laugh:

and yes, that's how he spelled it.........

I had to wipe a lot of coffee off my screen , and I still laugh every time I see it.

There are several I really like, but here is just a small selection:

I am soooo happy - how on earth could I be otherwise?

The Buddha addressed: "Hatred never ceases through hatred, but hatred ceases by love alone. This is the essence of the ancient and eternal law.".

"Believe those who seek the Truth: Doubt those who find it."

"Weigh, within your heart, the true advantages of the energies of Love, Compassion and Forgiveness, against those of Anger, Fear and Resentment.

Then Choose."

"1. Mind precedes all mental states. Mind is their chief; they are all mind-wrought. If with an impure mind a person speaks or acts suffering follows him like the wheel that follows the foot of the ox.

2. Mind precedes all mental states. Mind is their chief; they are all mind-wrought. If with a pure mind a person speaks or acts happiness follows him like his never-departing shadow."

First 2 verses of the Dhammapada.

For those interested, the above describes exactly how karma is made).

"Three things in human life are important. The first is to be

kind. The second is to be kind. The third is to be kind." Henry James.

"If you cannot find Peace of Mind, serenity and contentment where you are right now - then where else do you expect to find it?"

"Speak your Truth. Tell it like it is. There is no reason to do otherwise."

Was that where that 2Sure's signature came from? I had always wondered...I must have missed that thread.

I always liked PhoenixRise's signature: There are only 2 types of women: goddesses and doormats. (Picasso)

I think it is a great quote for reminding women to have self-esteem and not put up with poor treatment!

I have a couple....

Definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, yet expecting different results.

and along the same lines of that is

Lather, rinse, repeat

I also love the phrase's

Don't make someone a priority if they only make you an option

If someone shows you who they are, believe them

Actions speak louder than words

I'm not sure where this one originated, or whether anyone has ever used it as a signature, but this one hit home for me:

If you permit it, you promote it.
