waynebrady Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Alot of people say "You should never hit a woman no matter what", and in movies/tv shows when women hit men its being made fun of and people laugh... It's like it's ok for women to hit men but as soon as the man hits back the man is a horrible wife beating loser and a coward. IMO women who hit men are just as much cowards because most men won't hit back no matter what, the man is defenseless basicly and you can hit without having to worry about getting it back... It's just as bad as when the roles are reveresed.
theBrokenMuse Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 No. Hitting people is wrong for both sexes, period. However, I am sure that some people are going to read that to mean: "Yes, it is" irregardless of what I type.
denise_xo Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Of course it's not acceptable. No. Hitting people is wrong for both sexes, period. However, I am sure that some people are going to read that to mean: "Yes, it is" irregardless of what I type.

utterer of lies Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 I think it's not such a big deal as most people here seem to think. It's not a good thing, but nothing to freak out about.
Mme. Chaucer Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 I think it's ONLY okay for a woman to hit a man if he fails to open a door for her. Or doesn't pay for a date.
SteveC80 Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 If a women strikes a Man she deals with the consequences of what he might do to her
quankanne Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 on his birthday, on his bottom. Preferably his bare bottom ... with "one to grow on" ...
carhill Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 OP, do you think this is a common occurrence in relationships? In public? TBH, other than in fictional accounts, like movies, and on tabloid TV, I've never seen a woman strike a man in anger or pain. That's 51 years talking. However, I have seen a few spank their man, or, perhaps more interestingly, myself when they're with another man. I wasn't offended and, by the look of the twisted little smile on their face, neither were they.

sally4sara Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 I think its okay to hit anyone if they hit you first and force you to defend yourself. don't start none - won't be none. Hitting someone with no provocation is a sign of low intelligence and zero impulse control. Expect to get hit back.

It's just as bad as when the roles are reveresed. I completely agree. All flippancy and fun comments aside, it's throroughly soul-destroying to meet anyone who is being physically abused by their partner. Their sadness, helplessness and desperation are heart-breaking to see. And I have met men who have been subjected to abuse by their wives/partners. It's hideous and completely out of order. The fact that women have less physical strength is immaterial. very often, women will resort to using a weapon, or throwing things. I think it's not such a big deal as most people here seem to think. It's not a good thing, but nothing to freak out about. uol, I truly hope to goodness you are never victim of a woman wielding a knife, stiletto shoes or throwing every hard, heavy object she can lay her hands on at you, slapping at your head, throwing your dinner plate all over you, or kicking you. It's painful, distressing, humiliating and demoralising. to dismiss it as 'not such a big deal' and 'nothing to freak out about' is both ignorant and thoughtless. You obviously have no idea. None. Unless you also think the same of men hitting women....
Feelin Frisky Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 It's not OK. I'm nobody to hit. I won't hit first, but I will hit last. And the violence will be over, I can assure that. I don't know about the litigation though.
flying Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 No, it's absolutely not OK. don't start none - won't be none. OK, true. If he strikes first...self-defense is a different matter.
fishtaco Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 But it's okay to hit on men. And please ladies, do that often, preferably to me.
Distant78 Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 I think it's ONLY okay for a woman to hit a man if he fails to open a door for her. Or doesn't pay for a date. ^^^^^^ This is exactly why women wonder why they can't find a good man. This type of narcissistic thinking right here. If my woman hit me because I didn't pay for something she'd be on the ground before she realized what happened, and she knows I don't play that bullsh*t. I agree with the others. Some women think they're powerful because some men won't stand up to them but when they come across the wrong one they'll learn how to keep their hands to themselves. If someone hits you you hit back harder regardless if they're a woman or not. It's kind of funny that these lesbians or Tomboys act like they're so hard and that they're a man, and try to get into a fight with an actual male but when they get Knocked-The-Phuuck-Out they claim abuse.

Linda9999 Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 I'm guilty of throwing things at my husband. It was Nov 6 of this year. He admitted hiring a hooker for a blow job while we were separated in June. We were separated because he had been cybercheating and trying to hook up physically last year, from June 09 till Mar 10, and I found out in March and threw him out. In March I managed to resist the impulse to stretch his foreskin over his head and smother him (I didn't hit him or slap him or throw anything at him that time) but when the admission came out in November I snapped. I threw books and a pop can at him. A full pop can. It hit his shoulder and gave him a bruise
Mme. Chaucer Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Just for the record, no, I don't think hitting other people is okay.
EasyHeart Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 In my younger days, I lived with a fiery Irish redhead who had the tendency to throw things at me whenever we fought (which was quite often). It got to be quite a problem because not only was she wrecking all our dinnerware, but she was also knocking holes into the wall of our apartment. We solved the problem by buying a set of Tupperware for her to throw at me whenever I was being an ass (which was quite often).

We solved the problem by buying a set of Tupperware for her to throw at me whenever I was being an ass (which was quite often). Even though a man is being an ass, the woman still has no right to abuse him for it. Women are perefectley capable of acting just as bad as men in some cases, does that mean I should just take a plate and swing it at a woman whenever she behaves badly? Hell no. If a woman throwed things at me, I'd throw things back. I'm a man and I throw things harder, and guess what? That's the reason she shouldn't have messed with me in the first place. It's like in school when a kid picks a fight with a much bigger and stronger kid, he best deal with the consequences since it's his own fault from the beggining. And for the record, I'd never hit a woman or throw things at a woman unless she did it first.
Feelin Frisky Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 I had an ex sock me in the eye while I was laying on a beach chair with my eyes closed. You may have seen some of my posts about this "borderline personality disorder" pain in the @ss I was once involved with. I took her to the beach and suggested that we ride some waves in. We jumped a little early and a wave pounded us pretty good and rolled us around. I didn't think too much of it but she wanted to get out of the water. I told her that I just got used to the water and I wanted to stay in a bit longer. She seemed OK with it and got out. A few minutes later I hear her screaming at me on the edge of the water. I go to check out what's what and she starts accusing me of trying to "drown her". Yeah, like I take someone I'm not married to and am trying to build a relationship with to the beach to drown her for no reason. Anyway, I just growled at her" "you know? You're sick!" I laid down on the beach chair and closed my eyes to get some sun and POW! The bitch hit me with her fist in my eye socket. I couldn't effen believe it. Guys, there are crazy, crazy, crazy females out there. I hope no one has to go through stuff like that. It surely didn't make me feel better to slap her back and end the day with my heart in my mouth and a black eye for just trying to have a good time at the beach with my supposed "love interest".
