You know, like an executive electronic golf ball warmer. Or a vibrating humidor. Or a computerized martini shaker. You know, something "cool" and "awesome." Or perhaps a subscription to "Maxim" will do just fine. I read mine for free at the barber shop.

Not because I don't think it sounds like a good idea, but because I'm always peeved at sex being mentioned as a 'gift' when it ought to be freely offered and reciprocal. You're buying the underwear for YOU, and you're sharing that with him, and this is awesome - but it's not a genuine present.

I searched a few threads about 'buying oneself lingerie as a gift to the partner' because I had this idea for myself (except I planned to pair it with a separate handmade gift as well)... and I realized something. The men were mostly approving of the idea, while most of those who shared your viewpoint were women. While this makes your opinion no less valid, perhaps men just view this differently?

If you want to be 'unique,' the gift should reflect your boyfriend -- his personality, his hobbies, his desires, etc. The best gifts are thoughtful and specific to the person you're giving a gift for.
