Questionable1 Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 ....when you are sleeping in the same bed with the person you are dating but have not had sex? I'm sorry if that's a stupid question, but it's been bothering me because I've never been in this situation before until recently. Here's the background info: I've been dating a wonderful guy a little over a month now. The most physical we have gotten are long make out sessions. We both agree to not rush into having sex and just let things progress naturally. This past week we spent the night together in bed and while he seemed perfectly fine sleeping with only his boxers on, I wasn't sure what I should have done. I contemplated following his lead by stripping down to my underwear but it just seemed like that would be too much if we're going to wait a while to have sex. I ended up changing into some pajama pants and kept my shirt on. Is there a certain protocol for this? With all of the guys I dated in the past, we had sex before spending the night together so it wasn't a big deal if I went to bed naked or wearing some underwear. What do you all recommend?
Star Gazer Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 I don't think it's fair or appropriate to share a bed with a man you're not sleeping with. So I really can't comment. But when in a relationship, I typically wear some little tank and little shorts.

Wow, is there supposed to be a protocol for this, too?? I think you should just wear whatever you're comfortable with... if you decide you're wearing too much, it can always come off later
zengirl Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Before my boyfriend and I had sex, we spent a few nights together. I wore pajama pants or leggings and a tank.
angielove Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 For most of the year, it is so hot in Australia so I wear a singlet top and my undies, regardless of who else is in my bed lol! But for about two months of the year (during the middle of winter) I wear long PJ pants and shirt, regardless of who else is in my bed.
tigressA Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 I wear nightgowns or go naked. I've never been in your situation, OP, but if I were I would go with shorts/pants and a t-shirt.
jerbear Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Naked or shorts depending on her. If she is naked I have the shorts, otherwise she might get poked.
MJ2 Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Tee shirt and boxers. Definitely nothing sexy, unless u want him & want him all over you
fishtaco Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 I don't think it's fair or appropriate to share a bed with a man you're not sleeping with. So I really can't comment. Thank you. I was going to say the same thing.
eerie_reverie Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 I just realized I love borrowing guy's clothes. It always feels both strange and intimate. I'd wear his boxers and t-shirt.
