moxie60 Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 I met this guy on a online dating site, we met at a coffee shop and seemed to hit it off, he told me to call him anytime and hoped to hear from me again soon and to call him anytime. We have talked on the phone a few times, but only because I called him. We hung out about a three weeks ago, we went to a party together and hung out with a few of his friend, that night he was showing sure signs he was interested like putting his hand on the small of my back on my leg,trying to find anyway to touch me, smiling, good eye contact, sitting close to me, holding my hand, and he kissed me not only once but three times. He told me to call him next time I am in his neck of the woods. I live an hour away from him. Its been three weeks since we hung out last. In those past three weeks, I have sent him texts, he responds right away, but he never texts me. I had to go away for Thanksgiving and didn't talk to him for a week. I texted him after I got back and he wrote back right away. He told me we should hang out as soon as I am moved to his city,also he said " whooot! I am excited about this seriously. I thought I creeped you previously. I am glad you still communicate with me." We have texted a little more since then. But again he doesn't text or call me unless I have initiated it. I text him last week after I had moved asking if he still wanted to hang out , and he said he was out of town and that he would be back next week. I told him to let me know when he wanted to hang out, and to call me sometime. I didn't get a response after that. Its been 4 days since I last communicated with him. I know this week is finals, but if he was interested wouldn't he at least send me a text saying he wanted to hang out as soon as he was done with all of his finals? Or am I just over-analyzing this way too much. How long should I wait to see if he calls me. If he doesn't should I just move on? I really felt like we had a connection. Maybe it was just me.
artchick88 Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 it seems like he's into you. Wait til finals are over and ask him to hang out. If he says he's busy simply say "well, hey! I tried. Next time it's your turn to contact me if you want to see me! ;)" If he doesn't get the hint then, then just move on. Chances are you'll drive yourself crazy if this guy doesn't initiate SOMETHING! But it does seem like right now, yes he is interested so don't get too frustrated too soon.

It seems to me that he does like you but he is afraid to make the first contact because he doesn't want to come off as clingy, desperate or "creepy". If you really do like him, don't give up! Just explicitly let him know that you would like him to contact you when he wants to get together. xx
