ENFJ

Reading the profile, it seems to be a fairly accurate depiction of me.

I'm consistently the only INFP in the group and I'm cool with that. I'm just glad I now have my BF to stand there looking all awkward with me! haha

My MO is to infiltrate a loud group of ENFPs - an INFP is really only a couple of drinks away from an E anyway. ;)

haha You are so right. Anything is fair game after some rum! Or vodka. Or wine.

I think we have enough INFPs to start a hostile takeover of the forum.

Oooh, that is sooo true. :o All those quirky thoughts get verbalized.

I am a hardcore INFP :cool:

INFP.

There must be a lot of procrastinating introverted non-money-making reading-writing types that like forums, especially one named loveshack.

Hostile takeover yes, but, we're doomed!

Posted

Yep, when I am drunk, I am quirky :)

Posted

When I'm drunk I can forget that I procrastinate, don't make enough money, am introverted, am sensitive, and can turn into the evil dark lord ENTJ !

Many women say the same thing until the "confident" guy comes along. Introverted men are judged more than introverted women. Unless the guy is good looking, him being introverted will not be beneficial.

Very true, says me, an INFP. I really appreciate a funny introverted man but a funny EXTROVERTED man? Game over.

Posted

lol yes...

INTJ

ah its true, I thought this forum would provide objective observations and insight in relationships that I could use in my own decision making in real life - learn from their mistakes, I thought...

no wonder there are so many INTJs on here despite being only 2% of the population

and so many introverts, because the extroverts are probably out at a bar or club somewhere right now while we're typing away trying to understand our motivations,find alternative solutions and clarity of our problems via an anonymous forum

I'm the first ESFP on this thread!!! :confused:

More INFP.

I'm going to start paying attention, these people may be more similar than I thought.

Took a different test just for comparison. http://sminds.com/mbti/

Came up with the same conclusion.

Extroverted (E) 51.61% Introverted (I) 48.39%

Intuitive (N) 61.11% Sensing (S) 38.89%

Feeling (F) 52.63% Thinking (T) 47.37%

Perceiving (P) 63.64% Judging (J) 36.36%

I'm pretty close to right down the middle between Extroverted and Introverted which makes sense. Same between Feeling and Thinking. In some reading I've done they say that often someone who is complementary is a great match. Meaning opposites attract. So an ISTJ or ESFJ ? LOL not taking it too seriously but it's interesting and revealing.

I think I'm somewhere in between those two for sanity. :p (Love you OG, but yeah? Yeah.) I have noticed that there are a lot of posters that sound a lot like myself in differing stages of growth, and my feelings of affection or irritation towards various LS posters tends to mirror how I generally interact with these types in real life. It's been a trip. Word!

So many introverts on one thread. Is that why we are all sitting at home foruming?

I got

I--> 44

Sensing--> 31

Feeling--> 62

Judging--> 44

You are:

  • moderately expressed introvert
  • moderately expressed sensing personality
  • distinctively expressed feeling personality
  • moderately expressed judging personality

We're ISFJ buddies, sweet! :bunny:

Our nicknames are the "Defender" the "Protector" and the "Nurturer".

That means, we kick butt!! :laugh::p

Yet another person implying that I am insane, great :rolleyes:

Your comment was completely unnecessary.

I should seriously stop posting on LS. People just magnify my negative traits and I guess that makes them feel better about themselves.

Here's my updated score, reflective of the passage of time since the last thread, within which I have become divorced and my mother has died:

Your Type is: INFJ

Introverted Intuitive Feeling Judging

Strength of the preferences 44 75 50 56

The test in this thread was different than the last one and, having read TBF's comment about life circumstances altering aspects of response, I was interested in the differences. Score from last thread:

Your Type is

INFJ

Introverted Intuitive Feeling Judging Strength of the preferences %

I've taken the test several times over the last few years and I always come back as INTJ.

Of course we have more I's on the board, E's would even think to post on a forum or stew over their choices or overanalyze their partners actions. Thats what we do. Its like saying why there are no birds with the fish in the pond.

I was at the halfway mark between E and I last time I took this about 4 years ago, I was just a sliver into I territory. When I had taken this at age 19 or so, I was heavily over on the I sliding scale. Its interesting to see the slight changes.

Although I think a clarification might be in order, from what I read in some of the post. The definition of Introversion in this test has more to do with how you get your energy, not social skills. I recharge being on my own, while I enjoy social functions they drain me considerably. My brother on the other hand is a true E and NEEDS to be out and about to charge up.

"As part of the Idealist (NF) temperament, ENFPs are incurable romantics. Romance – in the sense of idealised love – is not something that NFs can take or leave; it is vital to their growth and happiness.

The ideals-oriented NFs are the world's inspirers, prophets and Jedi Masters. Romance to the ENFP is a nourishment they cannot live without. ENFPs are not attracted by commonplace or casual relationships; they find them stale and lifeless."

" In relationships, the ENFP is warm, encouraging, and emotionally engaged. ENFPs connect with others by sharing their feelings and experiences; they are expressive with their mates and want their mates to share openly with them. ENFPs place great importance on personal development. They encourage their mates to pursue their dreams and want the same encouragement back.

Although they are quite sensitive, ENFPs can be guarded when it comes to their deepest feelings. When conflict arises, the ENFP can sometimes withdraw; ENFPs need a supportive partner to help them express any hurt feelings.

The ENFP is typically most satisfed with a partner who supports their creativity and caring, and who expresses appreciation for their unique qualities openly and often."

That about hits the nail on the head. My first rule is don't bore me. Haven't seen any other ENFPs yet and not many ENFP men at all. No wonder I get women saying I somehow confuse them. Just not like most guys out there.

ISFP - "Artist". Interested in the fine arts. Expression primarily through action or art form. The senses are keener than in other types. 8.8% of total population.

Artist. What do I have to do with that?

Maybe I should try painting or something.
