BackUpOrGetStung Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Can someone tell me where I can take a good test online? I just tried to take one, and I'm pretty much deadlocked on everything except the last one...so right now I'm going with ENTP, for now, but I had a tough time in 3 out of 4 sections. On the test I took, everything on both sides of the Intro/Extra section applies significantly to me.
Mad Max Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 ISTJ for me. Apparently, I have the same personality type as Clint Eastwood, Kirk Douglas, and Warren Buffet.
BackUpOrGetStung Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 I dont like bein put into a box... You're so unique.
Surrealist Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 (edited) Your Type is INFJ Introverted = 95 Intuitive = 38 Feeling = 12 Judging = 33 Certainly explains my dating dilemma. Edited December 6, 2010 by Surrealist
FearandLoathing Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 ESTP Interesting because I've never had an E before If I'm reading it right then the ideal companion for ESTP is ESFP and that just so happens to be my boyfriend
Cee Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Your Type is INFJ Introverted = 95 Intuitive = 38 Feeling = 12 Judging = 33 Certainly explains my dating dilemma. Hello, fellow INFJ... INFJ is the "counselor" type, which serves you well on the board. The personality type is so empathic as to appear psychic in understanding other people. Also, INFJs seem outgoing because of their interest in people, but are somewhat aloof. Oprah Winfrey is a classic INFJ. Don't know if I made you feel better or worse comparing you to Oprah.

Ariadne Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 ISFP here. All about living in the moment. Me too! Like two drops of water.
Knittress Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Your Type is INFJ Introverted = 95 Intuitive = 38 Feeling = 12 Judging = 33 Certainly explains my dating dilemma. I was in a longterm relationship with an INFJ and it really worked well for us. Not in the end, but you know... stuff. NFs have the highest relationship satisfaction of all possible types when paired with each other (like 83%)- didja know?

No I didn't know that, though I can see how that satisfaction would work in a relationship, given the pairing of course.
dispatch3d Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 (edited) Lol wow sooo ahhh I did some excel stuff just to see where people lie, and how the stuff is distributed. About 75% of women are either ST or SF. In other words most women are sensing, and the rest are intuitive. I've been finding doing thing in a sensing manner in respect to dating makes things WAYYYYYY easier than doing things in a intuitive way. In other words the more I try to use my head to figure out why x person did y, the more I dig a hole. However,if I just act no problem. NT men have one of the lowest scores in relationships, and are also relatively rare compared to the rest of the scale (http://www.articlesbase.com/relationships-articles/do-opposites-attract-compatibility-and-your-myers-briggs-personality-type-263482.html). So if your NT you are working at a disadvantage with respect to women. EST's can get INF women. Not actually that bad, considering they can probably get along with their own row better, etc. My roomates girlfriend is I think INFJ, I am ENTJ (but just barely a J) and I can tell you we regularly fight based on completely different communication styles. I think if I was ESTJ we would be a lot better off (as per above actually). NT's are highly critical, and I can definitely identify with this. The more I work on my communication skills, the more I realize I am much too critical of others and need to back the hell off. fwiw 70% of the population is sensing (men and women!). eerie_reverie Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 INFP. I remember taking this test before and getting the same result. It's interesting that each time I've taken it, some questions, I was like, duh, while others, I could swing both ways depending on the specific situation/ my mood. But, I remember scoring approximately the same percentages for each category: moderately expressed introvertdistinctively expressed intuitive personalityslightly expressed feeling personalitydistinctively expressed perceiving personality I guess it evens out.
florence of suburbia Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 I'm INFP also. I was beginning to wonder if anyone else was going to say that! Everyone on my team at work took it and I was the only INFP. Everyone else on the team is an accountant of sorts...I'm the only tech writer.
Ariadne Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 INFP here. INFP. I'm INFP also. Lots of introvert intuitive people.
Mad Max Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Lots of introvert intuitive people. Unfortunately in the dating world, huge difference between introverted men and introverted women.
carhill Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Here's the last thread for comparison, along with my results. Looks like Surrealist and I have something in common
kassy Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 ENTJ... hum... so there aren't many guys out there for me huh haha
Ariadne Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Unfortunately in the dating world, huge difference between introverted men and introverted women. Introverted is ok.
Mad Max Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Introverted is ok. Many women say the same thing until the "confident" guy comes along. Introverted men are judged more than introverted women. Unless the guy is good looking, him being introverted will not be beneficial.

Unless the guy is good looking, him being introverted will not be beneficial. Guy, the problem with 3/4 of the world being extraverts is that 3/4 of the women women of the world are extraverts. Extraverts don't generally understand introversion since they feel happy, not drained, around others. They mistake it for timidity or misanthropy. Why would you want a woman who was always dragging you around to meet and greet anyhow, if that's not your style? Find yourself an introvert!
Crazy Magnet Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 I'm consistently the only INFP in the group and I'm cool with that. I'm just glad I now have my BF to stand there looking all awkward with me! haha
