befreckled Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 What do I get them? I don't want the gifts to be too personal but I do want to bring something over. They live in wine country so, I can't bring a bottle of wine. Ideas?

aerogurl87 Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Holiday gift basket. They are filled with a variety of food items, cheese, choclate, coffee and so on. That's what I was thinking also.
Peppermint11 Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Homemade gifts are the best! Cookies, breads, pies ... families LOVE that stuff (who doesn't really?) AND it shows you put your own effort into it!
Author befreckled Posted December 6, 2010 Author Posted December 6, 2010 Holiday gift basket. They are filled with a variety of food items, cheese, choclate, coffee and so on. That's a great idea but my city isn't known for any of that and unfortunately there's an abundance of them where they are at. I might get the next best thing - imported biscuits/chocolates that I love that isn't available where they are.
flickster42490 Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Unless the gifts are for the holidays, I don't think you even need to get them gifts. When I first met my SO's parents and her 9 siblings, I didn't get anything. Yet, they still treat me like family every time I see them! But I guess if you had to give them something, getting them somethings they don't have in their area would be a great idea! Good luck.
folieadeux Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 How about baking or cooking something and putting it in nice dishware they can keep?
Author befreckled Posted December 7, 2010 Author Posted December 7, 2010 How about baking or cooking something and putting it in nice dishware they can keep? Sounds great except I'm travelling cross country, I don't think it'll pass through customs even if it survives the plane ride!
Omei Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Poinsettia's are the holiday christmas plant's they're everywhere even in your simple local safeway, wherever you are going why not pick up a Poinsettia for their house that has a christmas card.
