confusedcookie Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 So peeps. - I thought i had a successful first date, went pretty well. he insisted that we grab dinner after the basketball game. - he said he would call when he dropped me off in front of my house - i texted him like 5 mins later thanking him and said i had a great time, he said he did too. - he texted me the next day (yay!) we exchanged a few msgs, but his last msg wasn't something i could elaborate on, so i didn't reply back - the first date was 8 days ago - the last text was 7 days ago What gives guys???? Any insight?

Author confusedcookie Posted December 5, 2010 Author Posted December 5, 2010 that's exactly what i'm trying to figure out, hence the thread =p without context, i would think he lost interest but we had a good first date, he brought me to a restaurant that he was family friends with and he texted me the next day. what do you think happened?

I know girls complain a lot about a guy who doesn't call/text/email when he said he would, but you need to change your outlook on this. If I'm interested in a girl, I want to call/text/email her immediately! I usually have to hold back as to not come on to strong. Even girls I date where the first date was just "ok" but I thought she was cute get an email within 48 h of the date asking if she'd like to go out again. If a guy you went on a date with doesn't get back to you after a week, he's on the fence about you (at the best) and completely not interested, except probably sex (at the worst). Don't take it personally at all, he doesn't really know you at all. It's just the combination of timing/mood/conversation/etc just didn't click with him. Be thankful that there is such an obvious measure of a guys interest and move on! RF
Author confusedcookie Posted December 6, 2010 Author Posted December 6, 2010 thanks for your honest opinion. yeah, apparently he's getting back test results for a national exam this week, so that could have been it, or yes, he's just not interested. hard to swallow, but yes, i guess he's just not interested. which sucked because the text the next day after the date really gave me hope for a second date... ugh, this dating thing is so hard!
