thekid55 Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Just a quick recap. My girlfriend and I broke up 9 weeks ago. We are in our last year at college. Our breakup wasn't acrimonious. There wasn't a lot of fighting, yelling, etc. But we both made it known that we wanted to get back together some day. Well, my birthday was yesterday and I didn't get a text, call, or anything from her. She texted me a week earlier on Thanksgiving, wishing me and my family well. As far as I know, she is not seeing anyone, hooking up with anyone, etc. Is it a big deal that I didn't hear from her? Or should I just let it go and think nothing of it?
AlisaMarie Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 That was nice of her to wish you and your family a happy Thanksgiving. Did you respond to that? If she is your ex, she really has no reason to acknowledge your birthday. Maybe she is just trying to move on and let you move on. I don't know... I am sorry.
Leandro Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 It happens man. My ex dumped me two weeks before my birthday and didn't say a word. Try not to think about it to much.
fiat500 Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 hey....my ex's bday was yesterday too and it actually took a lot of control not to text him and I felt like crap . But he was the one that initiated the breakup and dumped me so I really had no choice. Who initiated the breakup in your case?
Author thekid55 Posted December 5, 2010 Author Posted December 5, 2010 We both agreed to the breakup. I have tried to get her back since then, but she hasn't budged. I just don't get why she would text me on Thanksgiving, but not on my birthday.
xeros Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 I expect she's trying to get over you if you left her, or alternatively she might just be going off you. It's hard to tell what someone else is thinking, especially a girl. Also, happy birthday dude.
