My pill after five days being on it is making feel like I'm tired, feeling spacey, and I don't like this feeling at all it kind of hit me today just noticing how I was feeling. I feel like I want to cry thinking about things I have to do. It's not normal.

So I have a problem with taking pills it ortho low. It's side effects are awful so I'm thinking to stop them.

I don't want to use pills at all. Does anyone find a good pill better than this one or what are preventive methods u use that u found effective. I just can't stand the pill! I'm worried a condom will break and I'm not coping so well right now thinking about since I feel safer taking the pill.

Talk to your ob/gyn.

I don't take pills no matter what. I rather stick with condoms and risk breakage than going on medication that will mess up my system.

Also, morning-after pills are very common now, you can get them at your local pharmacy without going to a clinic.

Thanks for your reply. I only have taken 5 pills. So today I really experienced the dramatic change in myself. I feel so sick tonight. Today i starring at the wall it was weird. Im just quitting them tonight. I know the side effects but its not worth staying on it when i have things to do in my life. I feel very anxious like i am on a heavy drug having these weird symptoms. I do not want to experiment with medications at all right now so i think the best thing is condoms. Men will just have to accept it. I just hope it clears up tomorrow.

Depends. Give it a day or two for it too completely get out of your system. Even if you had been on the pill, you may have been protected from pregnancy but not from STDs. Condoms are the way to go until you're with a long term sexual partner.

xpaperxcutx has it pretty much right. Condoms are probably best until you are in a monagomous relationship where you might switch to an IUD or sponge/diaphram thingy. But those don't protect against STDs wheras condoms do. Condoms rarely break but the fact that they have gets way more ink than it deserves because it's a tiny exception that should not negate a rule.

Personally, I don't want my SO to use the pill because I prefer to cum outside because it feels better to me. I've done it that way for many years and never had any scares or girls having late periods or anything. I may not be tyipical though. It seems more men like the idea of cumming inside than out. But perhaps your partner s/b at least consulted if you're not already sure.

I don't see this as a "withdrawal" "birth control menthod" however--I make love to her and she cums a few good times and then I want to have my orgasm my way--with nothing chafing the top of the head to make it semi-painful while I cum. It just lasts longer and ends so satisfyingly that way for me. Cumming at the same time is not an imperative--it's "cute" in theory but sex is not theory, it's passion and spontaneous. I encourage the woman to let it rip when she feels it and I'm sorry but I'm not going to spill my wine just because it's quaint on paper. I put in my effort and feel I earn it my way. My lovers have worked with that and it's been good.

I don't want to take pills either - I did try once very reluctantly years back but had a negative reaction to them, in terms of feeling **** but they also affected my blood count. I've always relied on condoms for bc and it works very well for me. In the past 18 years or so I've only experienced a break once or twice, and one of those times it was a sub quality Egyptian one which was almost expected to break. My back up plan if it breaks is a morning after pill, they're available prescription free and around the clock where I live.

I've been on birth control for almost two years. I've probably tried 4 different kinds. The one that worked for me is called Lutera. I have to say that all the birth control pills gave me the same effect. I mean I was so emotional, I cried a lot, and was depressed. I stopped taking BC for like 4 months but I had to go back on it because I'm allergic to condoms and my bf and I could not risk having a baby so I got back on lutera again and have been taking it for one year. Its weird because when I'm taking the placebo pills to start my period I get sooooo emotional lol like so angry, so pissed. Then when Im done with the placebo pills and get back on the regular pills I am all good and happy. I think it could be because I've been taking it for awhile and I don't have a heavy effect from it anymore.

So, it really depends. You will just have to try different brands and see which one works for you. If you dont need to be on it then dont go on the BC. I have to because I am in a relationship and my cramps are really bad. Other than that if you chose to be on Birth Control try to stick with one for at least 3 months or longer.
