mortensorchid Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 To follow up to yesterday's post I made about my possibly being blown off, I decided to take the bull by the horns. We had exchanged a text message once on Wednesday, telling him this one class I was in was quite annoying. He texted back a few hours later saying that doesn't sound good. Then yesterday, I sent him a text saying I might be having an out of town guest coming this weekend, and this out of town guest is a man, but as of this writing I'm still not sure if he's coming. So, I called him and left a voice mail message saying that I am still not sure if my visitor is coming. But, whether or not the visitor is coming, I said we should go to this play on Saturday. I reserved 3 spots for that night, one for me, one for him and one for my visitor. I left the message about two hours ago. Am I being blown off? I'm feeling disappointed that there is no response on his part.

Author mortensorchid Posted December 4, 2010 Author Posted December 4, 2010 What can I do to tell him otherwise?!?! I feel terrible about this.
BobSacamento Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Further proof women should not arrange dates.
refurb Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 My thoughts exactly. You turned him off with the "male out of town guest staying for the weekend" comment. Bingo. Guys may be clueless, but getting a text like that would make me walk. RF
carhill Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Heck, even when I was a doormat, no way I'd pull that kind of eunuch duty. Light would have a better chance of escaping a black hole.
skydiveaddict Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 What can I do to tell him otherwise?!?! I feel terrible about this. I'm not so sure you feel "terrible" about this. If you did you would have never done it in the first place.
Author mortensorchid Posted December 5, 2010 Author Posted December 5, 2010 Well, as it turns out, he was away on a business trip. He was not ignoring me or angry about the situation at all. My weekend visitor ended up not coming anyway, because he was called away for a work situation. I guess it was just nothing and I made a scene over nothing. Still, he did not tell me he was going away this weekend either. I'm sensing something ... Odd here. But I'm just going to take a nap and relax. Whatever will be will be.
