Sonolumino Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 I was cleaning out my inbox today and found an old email from her in it. The last line was "I love you". I looked at those words purely confounded for about 10 seconds. The words seemed fake, it didn't seem like it was real at all, like the words had no substance. I felt like it was somewhat a "lie" too, and in my mind I quickly said "No you don't??". It was such an odd feeling. I felt the same as I would if I was reading a love letter that was written to someone else and they had signed it "I love you". Anybody else ever experience something like this? Very eerie.
dng Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 (edited) Yeah, the other day I was cleaning out my bedroom's closet and I bumped into a shoe box with cards and letters from different girlfriends that my ex made for me. She called it my memory box. I opened one of the cards, it was a beautiful love message from her in her nice hand, ended with "Will love you forever, will always be there for you." Eh. Lemontang Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Yeah finding that stuff tends to hit you like a tonne of bricks sometimes. These days I find it easier to just delete them, because if I keep them I'm only going to look at them again 6 months later and feel like crap again. I haven't got the time to give for those feelings anymore I'd rather be happy than get hung up on it still. Granted my last ex found a love note tucked away in an old bag of mine from the previous ex before her. She took it pretty well and found it pretty funny in a humorous way. What I found funny was if the role was reversed between the ex's, the other ex would have gone troppo and start throwing crap etc around. So I was a bit taken back by the ease my last ex took it in.
