waynesworld Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 I've been going out a lot lately, and I've noticed that I rarely see what I'm interested in dating: smart, confident and attractive women in their late twenties and early thirties. At nightclubs, you mostly get drunken schoolgirls and cougars. At community functions, you mostly get moms and old ladies; I don't knit, so we don't have much in common. So my question is, where are all you high-caliber twenty and thirty-something women hiding?
ConstantCraving Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 So my question is, where are all you high-caliber twenty and thirty-something women hiding? My guess is that those women are all hanging out here on LoveShack. That's my diplomatic answer.
Stung Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 When that was me, I had already burned out on the nightclub scene looong before. I was at cafes, museums, art galleries, wineries, pubs, political rallies, steampunk or sci fi conventions, or out hiking and scuba diving. I also took a lot of night classes, mostly studying music and languages. BTW I am now a mom, but that doesn't mean I've morphed into some kind of deranged knitting-obsessive.

There's nothing wrong with being a mom, but I croquet, so in my eyes, knitting is fundamentally wrong. Hmm, very good list. You mentioned a few things I hadn't thought of. I'm going to have to skip the sci-fi conventions though. How do you suggest I approach in these settings? I'm pretty direct, but a few have told me I should be subtle.

Gyms are very much like nightclubs (at least mine is) except with protein shakes instead of tequila shots. I've never approached a woman while she was shopping before. You've had good experiences with that?
fishtaco Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Quality people, men and women, are very difficult to find, period. That's why you have fun with the drunken schoolgirls and cougars while you keep looking.
kiss_andmakeup Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 I don't know if I count, since I'm only 23, but I rarely go to clubs/bars OR community functions. I do volunteer for a local animal rescue. I'm there one night a week plus I help with our charity fundraisers. Most of the people who volunteer there are women, ranging from 16 all the way up to 50's and 60's. Maybe you could try some kind of volunteer work?
Seamless74 Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 nah bro im still working to be able to do it.,.. But if you want to know where they are im just telling you...
