Guys. Roughly how many women reject you before one ends up accepting?

And what would you say you are on the looks scale? Below average? Average? Or good looking?

Now I'm not just talking about dating here. It could be a fling or a one night stand or whatever.

Now I'm not just talking about dating here. It could be a fling or a one night stand or whatever.

I'm below average looking, but I honestly don't think that's as much of a dating handicap as my low-status job. I normally work security.

Right now, I'm unemployed and I've taken myself off the dating market AT LEAST until I find steady employment.

As for rejection, I don't approach female strangers in bars or clubs for phone numbers so it would be hard to measure rejection by that criteria.

In the late 1990s, I met a couple of girlfriends through personal ads. I don't remember the number of rejections at all. Just the shock of some women actually agreeing to meet me.

Its a similar story with the internet. I don't recall the non-responders or polite "no thank yous" as vividly as the positive responses.

Apart from Plenty of Fish. Welcome to Flaky Town. Worst dating site ever. Puke.

Seriously though, I'm in my late thirties now, so unless I suddenly become wealthy or successful out of the blue, no woman apart from my last long term ex (who is nuts and wants me back) will find me attractive, although I dare say that many of them will "settle".

I don't have 'flings' or 'ONS'. My 'numbers' reflect pursuit of people I desired a LTR with.

Average in appearance, health and wealth.

Historically, over the last 30 years, 8-10% of approaches resulted in dates. That number is a bit higher since my marriage ended, but that might be reflective of my age group or an insufficient quantity of data due to the short time period.

My prerogative is to choose people I might enjoy spending time with over whom is 'hot'. I'm wired differently for what hotness emanates from. YMMV. :)

So far I only go after women that I'm interested in, not random strangers.

That's been about 20 girls up to now. I've gone on a date with about three of them. Kissed zero.

So I'm either at 0.75% or a 0% success rate considering what the criteria is.

I'd say I'm average in looks, but I'm only 5'6, white guy.

In person I'd say my success rate is about 75%, but I only ask women I've already had good conversation with. Then again I'm in college, so it's not that hard.

Online my chance of getting a response is about 30%.

I've dated about 5 girls I've met online and about 5 that I've met in person over the past two years. Looks wise they ranged from 6-9/10.

Looks wise I'm 6'3 and have been described as 'handsome'. I'm also cocky and outgoing so I suppose that helps.
