Not gonna lie i'm nervous and I'm not the type of person to be, but I just don't want it to be awkward... I met her in the grocery store and aside from a few texts here and there I know nothing about her. We're suppose to go bowling after dinner, maybe thats too much for one date.. IDK... I'm 33 years old and this is my real first date ever... Every other encounter has been with people I met got to know casually at my house or with friends... This is a bit scary... Ugh!

If she asks, just tell her that you're divorced and you share custody with your ex wife. Be simple with your responses if you feel elaborating will just drag on and blurt out some uncomfortable. You sure you don't want some liquid courage?

I never realized how awkward it is getting to know someone, asking questions, etc.. sitting around other people listening in.. But all in all it was fun.. We went to bowl too but it too was crowed - hour and a half wait... so we ended up just going to her place and played ice hockey... Maybe I should've let her win haha.. after dinner she says "well now that I know you're not creepy, do you want to follow me to my apartment and I can ride in your truck" lol nice to know I'm not a creeper...

Her roomates came home and made it hard to have fun with just the two of us.. so she indicated she had some homework to do and I just said this was fun, come here and give me a hug before I go. Nothing awkward... She kept touching me all night too.. little finger rubs against the back, she even rubbed my leg in the car... touchy feely this one, but respectful... not the type to start mackin' out and beding down for the night.

I learned that my date never been in a book store and likes to drink for fun. Which i dont mind but this is after he told me that he is single because all girls are crazy and only want to drink and party. Sigh I see no future date .lol

Mine was very sweet and she's beautiful, she's outgoing and not afraid to talk to people about anything, which I really like. She loves kids... like so much that almost every kid she see's she tries to connect with on some level.. trying to get them to look so she can smile, etc... She even commented on how cute this little girl was and really she wasn't that cute, but maybe she sees something I don't, maybe she's more in tune with her spirit and see's true beauty... I like that in a girl... sort of a dreamer but a realist at the same time.
