CLS63AMG Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Over the past weekend, a girl Ive been seeing for a little over a month and I celebrated our tenth date by going away for the weekend. (We've had sleep overs before) But this time she made a big deal over the fact that she actually fell asleep in my arms two nights in a row. She said "Thats NEVER, EVER happened before" and that its so weird how comfortable she is around me etc etc. So ladies, is this a small feat? Falling asleep in a guys arms because you have reached a high level of comfort with each other? Thanks
curlygirl40 Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 When I read this post what stands out to me is the 'two nights in a row', not the falling asleep in your arms. I think she was enjoying the fact that you spent the weekend together. I remember when my now ex husband and I were just starting to get serious (after about 8 months of casual dating) we took a driving trip out west and I was giddy about the thought of spending '10 whole days' with him when we had never spent 2 consecutive days together before. Sounds fun though! Enjoy.
Stung Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Why not take her at her word? Apparently it is a feat, for her, and one she seems to want you to know she is happy about. Me, I prefer my space when I'm trying to sleep:o. But I do enjoy falling asleep holding my husband's hand.
Art_Critic Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Maybe she was just really tired She said she was comfortable with you and also showed it in her actions... Stop micro inspecting it and just enjoy being with someone eho enjoys being with you.

Katherineos123 Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I agree with the later, that you should certainly enjoy the fun and excitement of a new relationship... Its the best part! I know that, personally, it takes me a little while to REALLY sleep with a guy... Meaning a peaceful, deep, restful nights sleep. I feel that that is a wonderfully intimate act. To comfortably sleep on a man's chest takes some degree of trust and security. Its a lovely thing
Author CLS63AMG Posted November 30, 2010 Author Posted November 30, 2010 I bring it up because this one was very "afraid of love" due to a past bad relationship (that we've all been through) so I am pleased with her reactions Its been a workout to get to this point is all. Like I said its been 10 dates and although we are exclusive, she is still weary of the "BF-GF Label"..
eerie_reverie Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I could fall asleep in a killer's arms. It's no biggie for me.
