irc333 Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 I'm seeing this quite often these days (maybe it's the last ditch effort during the holidays not to be alone) Anyhow, ever noticed when people break up, and after about a few years of dating other people, they just get sick of dating, and just go back to the ex. I was wondering , is this an act of desperation? I guess they figure, "I might as well go back to what I'm most famailiar with"?
lovebitme Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 I'm one of those that always tries to get back with the EX at least once. There is a period of time after you break up that almost everyone will miss their EX. For some it happens right at the breakup and for others it might pop up 2 months after being away from them. I don't see it as desperation, just natural human response to being away from someone you once had feelings for.

This is the first holiday season in my adult life that I do not have a "love interest" (lol...cheesy) and it feels really strange...like I am disconnected...which I am, I guess ! I hope I do not get that desperate to go back to an ex other than because I love him and want to be with him. Dating is such a commitment of time and oftentimes I feel like I just do not have that luxury.
