SmileFace Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Yes a "MOM!! WTF??" thread. So I am home visiting the parental for the holidays. My mom needed some information on a business plan. So I decided to ask a good friend of mine - someone I have dated. He is pretty well off. Which doesn't faze me. My mother will always make comments like "You should have him buy you a car" or "You should have him pay for this" I get these comments from friends and siblings alike. This was during our dating and after stages. Anyway how do I get across to this lady who is set in her old ways that this isn't acceptable? How do I tell her that I don't need someone to pay for things for me and I can fend for my own?
carhill Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Give your mom his phone number and invite her to inquire herself. Perhaps she can get a new car out of the deal
Author SmileFace Posted November 28, 2010 Author Posted November 28, 2010 Bwhaha that just may work out.
melodymatters Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Dude, no advice, just condolences ! My parents just parrot the same stupid thing regardless of if you did a power point presentation, followed by a musical production, followed by Einstein re-animating and telling them the facts. Grin, bear it and LEAVE ASAP !!!!!
