The reason I ask is because I'm giving dating another go but I recently started an online exchange with a guy who had just gotten out of a relationship back in July. How long is enough for someone to say they're ready to give a relationship another go?

If he comments on his ex or the relationship ending as negative and/or poor, or if he demonstrates still being hurt by it, than I would say he is still processing the loss. You don't want to find yourself in a situation where his ex is a constant source of conversation, or that she is still in the picture. So, try asking him if he has dated anyone since, to get a better picture of where he is in terms of moving past it.

He dislikes drama ( a + in my book) and is really positive. From what he told me about his ex, she was the really jealous type and he couldn't handle it. They broke up back in July. I forgot to ask how long they been together, but it seems he isn't really hung up on her.

It depends..........on..........the man, the woman, their personalities, the depth/type/length of the relationship, who instigated the break up, why they broke up...........etc etc etc
